The credit repair business will always thrive in any economic conditions. Just consider the current recession - the credit repair business has enjoyed great success, even as other businesses have gone under. Credit in our society has become a near necessity for existence.
About one in every 3 or 4 American citizens struggle with their finances, that results in bad credit. Does it still surprise you that credit repair business is a leading choice for entrepreneurs?
But a huge market for credit repair is only one of the many advantages of this business. It requires little or no capital, it offers great personal satisfaction, it’s an outstanding means to make money and often needs little more than word-of-mouth recommendations.
OK, let’s move ahead!
Step 1
Have your client get his credit report from each of the credit bureaus. Use any of these methods: Visit AnnualCreditReport dot com or call 877-322-8228. Alternatively search the Internet for “free credit report”; you’ll have thousands of choices.
This is critical to do, the reason being that anywhere from a third to 90 percent of credit reports contain mistakes. And these mistakes are far too often the reason for a low credit score. As a credit repair business you should know how to instruct your client to get these free reports, and know how to read them.
Step 2
Examine the credit report diligently for mistakes. First look carefully for signs of possible identity theft; this could be any accounts that may not be your clients, particularly loans that have been unpaid. Many such thefts are done with moderate amounts over long periods so as not to raise suspicion. Identity theft will almost invariably result in a bad credit score.
Step 3
Send dispute letters for the mistakes identified. If identity theft is expected, be sure to report it to the police; doing so will help absolve your client, to a degree, from responsibility.
You will profit in your business in proportion to your success in dealing with the credit bureaus on behalf of your client. Most people hire a credit repair business because they would rather turn the matter over to someone else, saving themselves time and effort. For that reason, if you expect to thrive in this business the interest of your clients must always be your first priority. Make this your number one priority, and successful follow.
Step 4
Locate a state-of-the-art credit repair software so you can simplify the process as much as possible. Work as efficiently as possible, as the more effectively you use your time, the more clients you can serve and the higher your profits will be. But don’t rely only on your software; you must “marry” your software speed and efficiency, with the intelligent judgment that can only come from a human being.
Step 5
Promote your credit repair business enthusiastically both on and offline. Offer freebies to potential clients, as a means of generating interest in your business - for example, useful information, free consultations, free credit report analysis, and so on. Your business will prosper so long as you remember to put your clients needs first.
Start out by helping out family and friends, and do your best to do an exceptional job! Your satisfied clients will recommend you to others, bringing you floods of clients and you will have an unending chain of leads. To get your business in high gear right from the beginning offer your services for a discounted price for a limited period; ensure that you do an outstanding job for those who opted for the introductory offer.
Some important points: The best way to make money is by ensuring that your client is happy. The rest will simply fall into place. And finally, never be greedy with the fees, make promises you’re not able to keep, or do anything illegal, since to do so spells disaster.
